Arts Council
The mission of our unique Arts Council ~ including student representation from all of the Arts programs ~ is to propel and bring forward Arts opportunities to the students of our school community.
In addition to arts appreciation workshops, fundraising initiatives & arts advocacy the FMSS Arts Council acknowledges and awards a monthly "Rising Star" Award.
Accomplishments include:

Success Stories
Recipients of the Rising Star Award have been recognized for school and community accomplishments including: Festivals and performances, academic achievement, community involvement, awards etc. Alumni students also recognized on a yearly basis
The criteria we used to determine our monthly Rising Star recipient include the following. An individual who:
- possesses great character and a wonderful attitude
- has determination and is motivated to succeed
- exhibits extraordinary talent in their art form
- is committed to excellence in the arts
- demonstrates skills of a team-player and leader
- is friendly, polite, and helpful to others
- has made an outstanding contribution to the Arts@Fletchers
- is a worthy ambassador and advocate for arts
