Students have the opportunity to be a member of the FMSS Dance Company which performs in the Annual Peel Dance Showcase and the Kiwanis Dance Competition.

Clubs
Fletcher’s Meadow Dance Company ~ a thriving group of dancers who commit to weekly rehearsals, participate in special workshops, work with guest choreographers and other exclusive opportunities

Trips & Guest Artists
Students learn daily about the art of dance as it pertains to developing technical skills and the disipline it takes to excel in dance, as well as understanding how they themselves can be creative artists with something to say. Over the past few years, students have also had exciting opportunities to learn from professional dance artists in workshops and in seeing live performance, such as:

• Musical Theatre with Michelle Hillier
• African dance with Toni Anderson
• Latin dance with Danny Leong
• Corpus
• Toronto Dance Theatre
• Ballet Creole.

Success Stories
The Dance Program at Fletcher's Meadow SS had seen a great amount of growth, starting from four small classes in 2004 and developing into a full grade 9-12 program of six classes in only one year! Since 2005, it has remained a strong and vibrant part of the Arts Department.
