Counseling Staff and Alpha

Each counselor is responsible for a group of students. A student's counselor is determined by the first letter of the student's last name:

Counselors are available in the morning before classes, on the student lunch periods and after school. Students are required to book an appointment with their guidance counsellor at least one day in advance. If a parent wishes to see a counselor, they should book an appointment if possible. Appointments are required to register a child for school.

Peer Mediation

Peer mediators work with students to help resolve conflicts in a positive and peaceful manner. They are trained students who work closely with the Mr. Morgan, Mr. Mottram, Mr. Desjardins, Ms. Lujan, Ms. Mustafa, Ms. Yen and Ms. Yu to mediate disputes between their peers. Peer Mediators provide an alternative to suspension, and there has been a reduction in suspensions since the program's inception.

Grade 8 to 9 Transition

Leading Arrows are a group of Fletcher's Meadow students that have been trained to help students with their transition from Grade 8 to 9. They visit the feeder schools, offer tours and visits to our school, and work with Grade 9 students once they are here! See Mr. Mottram or Mrs Woehrlé for details!
