Summer School Information
Summer school registration will begin on Monday May 3rd, 2010 for all courses. Registration begins at 8:00am. Information of course offerings and locations is available in Guidance or online.
Computers in Guidance will be available from 8:00am on Monday, May 3rd .
New credit courses run from July 5 to July 30. Make up credit courses and Careers & Civics run for 10 days; either July 5-16 or July 19 - 30. All courses are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Students will be using the online web-entry sign-up system (the same one used for the option selection process). Register early as the spaces available fill up quickly.
Students should confirm their password on the FMSS website prior to May 3:
See one of your teachers or one of the Guidance Secretaries if you need to have your password reset.
The Summer School online sign up process will occur between Monday May 3rd and Friday June 18th, 2010. Following this date students must see their Guidance Counsellor to sign up. Sign up for all Online Summer School courses MUST be completed by a Guidance counsellor. Please see your Counsellor
Things to keep in mind about Summer School:
- Textbooks are supplied to students.
- Make up credit courses for grades 9 to 12 are based on 55 hours and are open to students who completed the same course during the regular school year and achieved a minimum mark of 40%.
- New credit courses for grades 10 to 12 are 110 hours plus time to complete homework.
- Online courses are available for grades 10 to 12. Students are required to attend an orientation at the beginning of the course. Registration for Online Summer School courses is completed through the Guidance office.
- Registration is accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
Night School
Night school is offered through the Peel Board and the Dufferin Catholic Board in both semesters and runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings. It is only an option for senior students who are taking 3 courses at day school and permitted for those students who need to take a credit not offered or available at our school.

Registration begins 1-2 weeks before the start-up of classes. For second semester, registration begins on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. . Students should see their counsellor during the week of January 4 to determine if they qualify for night school.
